Perspectives on Earning, Spending, Saving and Investing
On Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 AM, IEA/SoCal presents its second “Salon!”
IEA/SoCal Salons are designed to be social, informal, interactive and fun, while at the same time fostering educational and intelligent conversation about the insights into our relationships that the Enneagram provides.
Over the past year, we've all experienced first-hand a challenging economic environment in which earning money, limiting our expenses, and protecting our investments are at the front of our minds. So why not use this as an opportunity to explore the insights our Instincts provide into our relationship with money?
- How do you feel about spending money? When do you enjoy spending money? And when does it pain you? After spending money, do you later regret it? Or do you later regret not having spent more (and allowed your self to enjoy it)?
- Do you enjoy saving money? Or is saving just a means to an end for you? What feelings does saving create for you?
- If given a choice (and no particular pressure to achieve an investment objective), would you normally choose a low-risk, moderate-risk or high-risk investment? Do you enjoy strategizing and managing your investments? Do you get satisfaction from growing your investments in the face of risk?
There's no charge to attend a Salon for current IEA/SoCal Members; there's a $10 suggested contribution for non-Members. All you need to do is RSVP to
Our Salon will commence promptly at 10:00 AM, at which time people can order coffee, juice, and/or a late breakfast—you pay for your own food and beverage. We'll dedicate the first 30 minutes to getting some caffeine, sugar and/or protein into our systems, and catching up with our Enneagram friends and neighbors. Then we'll ease into our moderated, highly interactive conversation. You can feel free to share your own experiences and insights, and just listen and learn about the Enneagram—both beginners and experts are welcome!. Parking is free. Just ask for the IEA/SoCal group when you arrive.
