Enneagram Comedy Styles

Laughter is universal. But the types of comedy that trigger laughter in each of us are amazingly personal—humor has a clear connection to those stories, characters and environments that are most emotionally resonant for each of us. The Enneagram, of course, can be an important means of understanding the stories and characters that we find funny on the silver screen, and in our own lives.

Accordingly, IEA/SoCal is proud to present Judith Searle's Enneagram Comedy Styles program at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26 in Encino.

Judith's programs on the interpretation of films and books from an Enneagram perspective are, of course, legendary (see.www.judithsearle.com). Judith's five published books include The Literary Enneagram: Characters from the Inside Out. She is also a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Writers Guild of America.

Enneagram Comedy Styles will illustrate through film clips and lively commentary the nine distinct styles of comedy, and the manner in which each style relates to one of the nine Enneagram types—the comedic styles range from "romantic comedy" to "fear comedy."

We look forward to your joining us on Saturday, September 26. Registration opens at 9:15 AM, with coffee, tea and light breakfast being served. Judith's program commences promptly at 10:00 AM.

Admission (including coffee and light breakfast) is only $10 for current IEA/SoCal Members, and only $20 for non-Members. But new Members joining IEA/SoCal on Sep 26 are admitted to the program free!
